Lærdal Tunnel

The longest road tunnel in the world extends 24.5 km between the cities

of Laerdal and Aurland in western Norway. The tunnel’s construction

lasted five years and was completed in 1998. The reliable QL Induction

lighting was chosen to lighten the world’s longest tunnel 24 hours a day.

A total of 1.410 QL induction systems have been installed and represented a life time of 80.000 hours. All QL induction systems were replaced in 2008-2009.
